Took a chance on an elongated paddle to supplement my arsenal and it paid off!!! The paddle plays exactly as described and has held up well.
The paddle for players who end points. 14mm core, T700 carbon face with a friction finish, elongated and thermoformed. Built to put pace behind a drive and spin on everything else.

HOW IT PLAYS
Forget the spec sheet for a second. This is what changes in a game.
A thick core soaks up your swing and hands back a slower ball. 14mm does the opposite. What you put in comes back out, so the drive that used to give your opponent time to set up now beats them to the spot.
An extra half inch of reach is the difference between getting a paddle on it and turning around. Elongated means you cover more court from where you are standing.
The friction surface bites the ball harder than a smooth face. Top spin serves kick, slices skid, and the third shot you meant as a drive arcs in instead of sailing.
TECHNICAL DETAILS

THE BUILD
Every brand says power. Here is the specific construction behind it.
Core thickness is a dial between control and pace. Our Pro at 19mm is the control end. The Max at 14mm is the pace end. A thinner core flexes less and returns more of your swing, which is why a Max drive arrives faster than the same swing on a thicker paddle.
3K is the standard carbon weave. T700 is a higher tensile grade, the kind used where stiffness per gram matters. On a paddle face it means a crisper response and a more consistent rebound across the whole hitting area.
Spin comes from the ball gripping the face for a fraction longer at contact. The textured friction surface is tuned for exactly that: enough bite to load spin on serves and drives, within the limits that keep it USA Pickleball approved.
Length moves the sweet spot up for reach and leverage. The channel in the throat takes mass out of the one place it does nothing, so the paddle stays quick. Forming the face and walls as one piece keeps the edge stiff and consistent month after month.

HOCKEY HALL OF FAME
Twenty-six seasons in the NHL, three Stanley Cups, and a Hall of Fame jacket. When Chelios wanted a paddle that hit as hard as he did, this is the one he signed. The Red colorway is his.
Full dimensionsTHE NUMBERS
A 4.92 inch handle with a 4.21 inch grip, room for a two-handed backhand, and a face long enough that the sweet spot sits where you actually hit the ball on a drive.
Friction finishTHE FACE
A friction surface over T700 carbon. Run your thumb across it and you feel the grit that grabs the ball on contact. That is the spin.

PUSHED TO THE MAX
Some paddles are built to keep you in the rally. This one is built to finish it. If your game is drives, put-aways and serves that kick, the Max is the paddle that was made for you.
WHICH ONE IS YOU
We would rather you end up on the right paddle than the expensive one. Here is the honest version.
Take the Pro. 19mm, the thickest core we make, and the most forgiving paddle in the lineup on a soft ball. It is the control end of the dial.
Take the Ultra. 16mm sits between the Pro and the Max, with an aramid face that damps vibration. It is the one we hand players who cannot decide.
Take this one. 14mm, thermoformed, elongated, and built to put pace behind a drive. If your game is aggressive, the Max is the paddle that suits it.
Cover includedIN THE BOX
Grip fitted, edge tape on, cover in the box. Nothing to buy, nothing to set up.
THE LINEUP
Core thickness is the clearest way to explain the range. The Pro is built for touch, the Ultra for both, and the Max for pace.

QUESTIONS
If you are new to the sport or your game is mostly dinking, a thicker core will be more forgiving and you should look at the Pro. If you already drive the ball and want more from it, 14mm is the point. Plenty of 3.5 players use the Max and love it; they just tend to be the aggressive ones.
16.52 inches long by 7.48 inches wide, 14mm thick, weighing 8.2 oz. The handle is 4.92 inches with a 4.21 inch grip circumference, which is a standard size that suits most hands without regripping and leaves room for a two-handed backhand.
No. Same core, same T700 face, same shape. White, Black and Pink are finish only. Red is the Chris Chelios Signature colorway, the same paddle with his mark on it.
T700 carbon fiber, a higher tensile grade than the 3K weave on most paddles, with a textured friction finish applied over it for spin. The texture is tuned to the limit USA Pickleball allows.
If you want maximum pace and you are confident in your soft game, the Max. If you want one paddle that does both without thinking about it, the Ultra. The Ultra is the safer pick, the Max is the sharper one.
Every Max is covered against manufacturing defects. If you want cover for the everyday stuff, bumps, scrapes and normal wear for as long as you own it, the Lifetime Warranty add-on covers that too.
USA Pickleball Approved and PBCoR 43 Certified, so it is legal in every sanctioned tournament. Orders placed before 3pm Central on a business day ship the same day from Chicago with free shipping, usually landing one to two business days later.
WHY THE MAX
Most paddles are tuned to keep you safe. The Max is tuned to put the ball away. If that is how you play, or how you want to, this is the one in our lineup built for it, and a Hall of Famer agrees.
