An update on the Hyper+
We've been made aware that some recent Hyper+ Elongated 14mm and 16mm production units do not match the certified specification.
We're working with USA Pickleball and our manufacturer to resolve this, and we're investing in Pickleball Instrument machines to dual test paddles at both our manufacturer and our warehouse, along with serializing every paddle.
We'll share an update as soon as our review is complete.

Next-level manufacturer testing. Every batch.
A paddle design gets approved once, on samples. What players actually buy comes off a production line, batch after batch, and that gap is where trust in the sport’s equipment breaks down.
So we are closing it. Every Hyper+ 2 batch is tested and verified to the highest standard possible: twice, at our manufacturer and again at our warehouse in Chicago, on the same Pickleball Instruments equipment USA Pickleball uses for courtside testing at its events. Every paddle carries a serial number any player can look up to see its batch and both test results.

- A serial on every paddle
We think this should be the industry standard for manufacturer testing. Until it is, we intend to lead the way.
Tested at the factory.Tested again in Chicago.
Every CPX Hyper+ 2 carries its own serial number. It links your paddle to the batch it was pressed in, and to the two deflection tests that batch passed before it shipped. Enter yours and see the record.
Serials start with Hyper+ 2 batches. Hyper+ owners get first access.
Find your serial on the paddle and on the box label.
A batch ships only after both gates pass.
Enter a serial to pull its batch record: when it was pressed, and what it passed at each gate.
Approval covers the design. Our gates cover what ships.
A paddle design earns its approval on submitted samples. After that, every production run is its own event. Carbon and foam are pressed with heat and pressure, and small shifts in resin, temperature or core density can change how a batch plays. That’s true across the sport, and it’s why onsite paddle testing keeps spreading at tournaments.
We decided not to leave that to chance, or to a check-in table on tournament morning. Every Hyper+ 2 batch now has to pass two gates, on two continents, before a single paddle ships to a player. We believe it sets a new standard in pickleball.
How a gate catches a batch

From the press to your bag, tested twice.
Your paddle’s serial is assigned the day it’s made, and every checkpoint after that is logged against its batch.

01
Pressed and serialized
Each paddle is pressed, finished and given its own serial at the factory. Its batch record starts that day.
-
02 Gate 1
Factory test
Before any box is sealed, paddles are pulled from the batch and tested on a Pickleball Instruments machine. A batch that misses doesn’t ship.
-
03
Shipped as one batch
The batch travels to our warehouse in West Chicago, Illinois, under the same batch number.
-
04 Gate 2
Warehouse retest
When it lands, we pull paddles from the same batch and test it again on our own Pickleball Instruments machine. Two tests, two locations, one record.
-
05
Cleared to ship
Only a batch that passed both gates goes on the shelf, and its serials go live in CPX Trace.
Read your serial.
The serial tells you what your paddle is and when it was pressed, before you even look it up. Here’s the example serial, piece by piece.

Have a serial that doesn’t look right? Email the full number to info@cpxpickleball.com and our team will check it against the batch records.
Look up a serialWhere do I find my serial?
On the paddle and on the label of the box it ships in. It starts with CPX and reads like CPX-H2-2611-B014-0387.
Is every paddle tested?
Every batch is tested, at two checkpoints. At the factory, and again when the batch lands at our warehouse, we pull paddles from it and test them on a Pickleball Instruments machine. If a batch misses, it’s held and doesn’t ship. Your serial shows the results for your paddle’s batch.
What does the deflection test measure?
The machine presses on the paddle face and measures how much it gives. A face that gives too easily plays hotter than it should. Each test is a clear pass or fail against the limit.
Will my paddle pass a tournament check?
Out of the box, your paddle’s batch has already passed twice. Like every carbon paddle, it changes as you play it, and events don’t all use the same testing equipment. If your paddle is ever flagged at an event, email us the serial and the result and our team will look into it.
Does this replace USA Pickleball approval?
No. Approval is how a paddle design gets onto the approved list. This program is our own check on the paddles we actually ship, batch after batch.
Which paddles have serials?
Serials start with the Hyper+ 2. Records go live here as each batch clears its warehouse retest. Hyper+ owners will get first access to the Hyper+ 2.
What if my serial doesn’t come up?
Check for the letter O typed in place of a zero. If it still doesn’t come up, email the full number to info@cpxpickleball.com and we’ll check it against our batch records.
