THE PROBLEM
Dead spots are a core problem
Every paddle has a sweet spot. The question is how much of the face it actually covers, and what happens on every shot outside it.
01 The ball dies off-center
Hollow honeycomb cores go soft toward the edges. Catch the ball an inch from the middle and it comes off dead, and it reads as a mistake you made rather than the paddle.
02 Two identical swings, two different results
If the face is not consistent, neither is your feedback. You cannot correct a shot when the paddle is the variable you are not accounting for.

I just played with it one time and I think I’m really going to love it

I played with the Hyper+ for the first time last night and, WOW, I was blown away by how much more forgiving it was than my CRBN Foam paddle! My dink shots were finally predicable and accurate and the spin control on my drives was crazy good. Love it!
The 16mm elongated Hyper+ is a great paddle. It's been my main since June, replacing my J6CR CBE. I knew I needed to get one when I noticed how hard it was to play against! The grit is still holding up and spins the ball well on both soft shots and hard topspin drives. The paddle has a LOT of power and pop with a huge sweet spot. I was able to adjust to it within a few hours. After the break-in, the paddle feels like it pockets the ball very well. It is fast and light without feeling too light (it doesn't need any weight, but I did add edge guard tape). The internal weighting seems perfect. Offensive shots are amazing with this paddle. It is also fairly easy to take pace away from the ball with slice. The huge sweet spot and rough grit make drops and dinks easy once you adjust to the pop. The sound it makes is cool, but it is very loud! Especially when considering the lifetime warranty, it's an excellent deal at $150 before a code in my opinion.

I have been playing indoors since I received the paddle. I definitely get more pop and good spin. I do have to be a little more accurate with my shot selection but overall I really am enjoying my paddle.

Been playing with the widebody hyper+ 16 mm for around a week and a half now. Still getting used to the power, but I am fine with the pop. I am enjoying using it, and plan to play with it more. Happy with the paddle so far.

Which Hyper+ should I get?
Every Hyper+ has the same patent pending HYPERFOAM X Core. The choice is thickness, shape and finish. The Red 16mm is our best seller: steadier on contact and easier to settle on a reset. The Green 14mm is the thinner build, lighter and quicker in the hand with more pop. The Widebody 16mm has a wider face for the most forgiveness, and the Green Widebody 14mm puts that wider face on the thinner 14mm core. Ghost and Lemon Drop are limited colorways of the same paddle.
Worth saying plainly: none of these is a soft touch paddle. Owners consistently describe the Hyper+ as powerful, and several say they eased up on their swing for the first few sessions. If you are coming off a low-power control paddle, expect a short break-in.
How does it compare to other foam paddles?
Verified owners compare it most often to the Selkirk Boomstik, the Honolulu J2CR and the JOOLA Perseus. One owner who also plays the Boomstik, the Gearbox GX2 and the Perseus rated the Hyper+ 14mm the best of the group in every category. Why does it sound different?
A full foam core gives the Hyper+ a deeper, louder pop at contact than a honeycomb paddle. Some owners mention noticing it in their first sessions and getting used to it quickly. It is the sound of a face with no hollow cavity behind it.
What is the difference between the pre-order and the in-stock option?
Pre-order units are $150 and ship within 7 days, fulfilled in the order they were received. The in-stock Red 16mm and Green 14mm are $199.97 and ship from our Chicago warehouse the same day when ordered by 3pm Central (1pm on Saturdays), arriving in 2 to 3 business days. Yes. The Hyper+ is USA Pickleball Approved and cleared for all sanctioned tournament play. The approval stamp is printed on the face of the paddle.
