Where you put it is the whole gameWeight at the top of the paddle means more mass behind the ball and harder drives. Weight at the sides, around three and nine o'clock, widens the sweet spot and stops the paddle twisting on off-center hits. Split the difference and you get a bit of both.

01 Top of the paddle: power
Two to four strips across the top edge, twelve o'clock. Swing weight goes up, drives get heavier, hand speed comes down a touch. Good for players who want more plow-through.
02 Sides of the paddle: stability
One to three strips each side at three and nine o'clock. The sweet spot widens and mishits stop twisting the paddle in your hand. Barely changes how fast it swings.
03 Near the handle: balance
Strips low on the edge near the throat add mass without much swing weight. Use it to counter a top-heavy setup or just to make the paddle feel more solid.

Before you buy
Is adding weight legal for tournaments?
USA Pickleball allows lead tape on the edge guard as long as it does not extend onto the face. Keep it on the rim and you are fine.
How much weight is one strip?
Each strip adds a small increment, enough that two strips is a change you feel and ten is a substantially heavier paddle. Start with two or three and add from there.
Can I put it on the face?
No. It goes on the edge guard only. Face-mounted weight is not tournament legal and the adhesive is not designed for a textured surface.
Will it come off if I change my mind?
Yes. Peel slowly and it lifts clean. Any tack left behind wipes off with a bit of rubbing alcohol.
Should I cover it with edge tape?
Many players do. A wrap of Edge Guard Tape over the strips keeps them locked down and hides them. Not required, but it is a clean finish.
When will it arrive?
